The MCR Safety Big Jake® 2 BJ238CH Flame Resistant PVC Raincoat meets ANSI Class 3 visibility requirements for staying seen on the job while reflecting the brand’s reputation for durability and protection. The Big Jake® II series of rainwear utilizes flame-resistant FR PVC/Meta-Aramid material and a higher calorie rating compared to the original iteration. The material is tested in accordance with ASTM F903 standards for liquid penetration, ensuring the user stays dry during wear. Further attesting to its performance, the Big Jake® II line meets ASTM F1891 standards for Arc and Flame-Resistant Rainwear and ASTM F2733 standards for protection against flame hazards. The BJ238CH raincoat starts with this framework. This high-vis raincoat has earned a HRC2/CAT2 ARC rating with an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of 11 cal/cm₂ based on its flame-resistant properties. Waterproof construction is further fortified by a durable front zipper shielded by a snap-over flap. The wearer, as well, receives more comprehensive coverage through a stand-up collar, adjustable attached oversized drawstring hood, and adjustable hook-and-loop wrist closures.
