Welding goggles and protective eyewear with shade IR lenses offer limited protection against ultraviolet and infrared radiation and are designed for welding affiliated operations such as medium to heavy torch soldering, brazing and cutting operations protecting the eyes from heat, optical radiation and flying debris. The UV and IR wavelengths can produce eye injury.
