As you prepare to face a work environment potentially exposing you to dust and other fine particles, smoke, bodily fluids, or even gases and vapors, protect yourself with disposable face masks. Magid® considers all environments — from healthcare to manufacturing to waste management — with the following solutions:

N95 Disposable Respirators

N95 disposable masks reduce exposure to at least 95% of airborne contaminants 0.3 micrometers or larger when properly positioned over the face. Certified by NIOSH, these disposable respirators fit over the nose and mouth and require a firm seal to be fully effective. However, in thinking about protective solutions for your team, realize that N95 masks are not sufficient for vapors and toxic gases and, instead, are better for reducing exposure to dust, bodily fluids, fumes, mists, smoke particles, pollen, aerosols, bacteria, and mold spores.

In addition to the widely used 3M™ N95 mask, find solutions with valves for releasing heat.

Other Types of Disposable Face Masks

Dust masks: Also called surgical masks, these disposable masks have a looser feel and seal, often having just one strap that fits around the wearer’s head. A dust mask primarily protects others against exposure from the user and some larger airborne particles
P100 disposable respirators: P100 disposable masks feature a design similar to an N95 but filter out more particles and other hazards, including asbestos, lead, and welding fumes
